Our Annual Awards recognize the top-performing teams and players for a single calendar year. These awards are available for all years since the format’s inception.

Our rankings follow a strictly data-driven approach, meaning some legendary performances may rank lower than expected, while some underrated ones may score higher. There is no manual adjustment—every performance is assessed purely on its statistical and contextual merit.

Player Ratings assess overall contributions—whether a player excels as a batsman, bowler, fielder, or across multiple disciplines. We have further categorized Players into Allrounders, Batsmen who can bowl, Bowlers who can bat, Batsmen and Bowlers.

Fielders ratings are calculated using the data on fielding dismissals ie catches and stumpings. While ideally, fielding ratings should account for catches dropped, runs saved, or reaction speed, such data is not available from historical scorecards. Wicketkeepers are included in the Fielders category. We have sub-categorized Fielders into Wicketkeepers, Wicketkeeprs who are also fielders, and Fielders.  

All rankings are based on publicly available scorecards or data by authentic resources. We absolutely do not use any proprietary or non-public data.

We aggregate cricket news and videos from multiple online sources in near real-time, providing a centralized hub for cricket-specific updates. Cricratings does not produce original news content but curates and organizes relevant coverage. Each source is clearly credited, with direct links guiding users to the original content.
